About the role

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies). This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support specific to the Paediatric Outpatient Department within a clinical outpatient setting. The role will work collaboratively with other clinical disciplines and with external stakeholders to ensure the Paediatric Outpatient Clinic provides family centred, responsive healthcare for our patients and their families.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

* Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in the area of Paediatric ambulatory services and Outpatient services delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
* Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
