Our Site Equipment:
Shark Bay Resources (SBR) operates in a remote mining environment with mobile & fixed plant equipment. This role will focus on Kenworth road trains, Caterpillar D9 dozers, variety of Komatsu and Caterpillar graders, unique salt industry harvesting machines and extensive variety of ancillary support equipment.
Opportunity exists to participate in fixed plant and marine infrastructure facility maintenance on plant and equipment.
The Role:
Operating on a 9days on, 5 days off roster, this role will report directly to our Mechanical Supervisor and will:
* Maintain the mechanical safety of all equipment on site.
* Complete maintenance and breakdown tasks.
* Draw on your expertise to advise on best practices and make technical recommendations.
* Ensure all installation, repairs and maintenance works are carried out safely.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Ensure you are always communicating clearly and effectively.
* Be willing to undertake further training and development.
* Demonstrate a healthy attitude towards protecting the environment.
* Seek to promote and continuously improve our environmental performance.
* Possess a strong and uncompromising attitude towards safety.
About you:
* Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanical trade qualification with post trade experience on a variety of different equipment.
* Western Australian Drivers Licence.
* Excellent diagnostic, fault finding, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance skills.
* Recent exposure to working on mine sites and/or working in remote locations.
* Be able to commit to a working day of 12 hours.
* The ability to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card
* High Risk - WP, LP, CV - Desirable
