We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Program & Events Manager to join our team
What You Will Do:
As the Program & Events Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of innovative live music programs and strategic initiatives across the Tanks Arts Centre Precinct. This includes curating a diverse mix of performances, corporate hires, workshops, community celebrations, monthly markets, and private functions that balance artistic excellence, commercial sustainability, and community engagement.
You will negotiate with artists and promoters, oversee budgets and contracts, and ensure events meet accessibility, inclusion, and safety standards.
Your leadership will guide a energetic team, shaping how the precinct is programmed, experienced, and loved by audiences and stakeholders alike.
What We Are Looking For:
- Tertiary qualification in arts, event management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in programming within the performing arts sector, including demonstrated success in booking domestic and international artists.
- Proven ability to negotiate entertainment contracts and manage budgets.
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing, audience development, and community engagement in delivering successful programming.
- Extensive knowledge of the arts and culture sector, with strong networks of producers, creatives, artists, and promoters.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams to deliver results.
