We currently have an opportunity for a Part-time Trade Cook. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in preparing nutritious, appealing, and high-quality meals for patients at Bendigo Hospital as part of our Spotless Food Safety Program. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

* Set schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM – enjoy a predictable schedule while working in a dynamic hospital kitchen.

* Preparing, cooking, and serving meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.

* Ensuring compliance with Spotless Food Safety Program and HACCP guidelines.

* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.

* Collaborating with kitchen staff and hospital teams to meet patient needs.

* Assisting in menu planning and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification.

* Proven experience working in a large-scale or commercial kitchen environment.

* Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and allergen management.

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.

* Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
