The Maternity Unit, Launceston General Hospital:
* The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is the major referral hospital in Northern Tasmania.
* As a Registered Midwife, you will be part of the team delivering approximately 1,600 newborns each year. The unit includes a 6-bed Labour Ward, 28-bed Maternity, and 9-bed Special Care Unit, providing a fast-paced and rewarding work environment.

The Role:
This position coordinates daily patient care activities in the Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (PAC), including managing admissions, transfers, discharges, and monitoring complex pregnancies in collaboration with the interprofessional team.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part-time, shift work (fully rotational), 40 hours per fortnight, starting from a mutually agreed date.
Hours are negotiable. The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to 12 months.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro-rata), with an additional 12% superannuation contribution. Salary progression to Grade 4 (range $99,455-$105,995) may be available upon successful application.
Additional allowances, such as Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%, may also be available.
Salary Packaging: Benefits include salary packaging options up to $9,010 for living expenses and $2,650 for meal entertainment annually, plus other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:
Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold current Working with Children Registration. Desirable: relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards them.
