Respect Integrity Quality Engagement Emotional Intelligence Now hiring Casual Team Members - Start Date: 17 November 2025 About the RoleAs a Team Member, you'll play a vital role in supporting Children and Young People living in Residential Out-of-Home Care at our therapeutic, rural properties, where we focus on a technology-reduced model of care.
Your main responsibilities will include engaging with and supporting Children and Young People who exhibit challenging behaviors, helping them achieve their social, educational, cultural, and emotional goals.
You'll also oversee their daily care.Our mission is to equip Children and Young People with new coping strategies and pro-social behaviors to help them transition to a forever home.Daily tasks may include:Providing hands-on support in teaching life skills to our Young People, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, completing homework, personal care, booking and attending appointments, participating in sports, and engaging in schoolingDeveloping support documentation, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reportsAssessing and supporting the developmental progress of our Young PeopleLiaising with and reporting to stakeholders to share information, contribute to planning, and ensure desired outcomes are achievedCreating activity plans and facilitating community engagement for the Young PersonSafely supporting behaviours using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniquesBenefitsCompetitive salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per annum + superannuation (based on full-time potential)Comprehensive induction and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training24/7 dedicated on-call supportAccess to Not-for-Profit salary packaging to lower your taxable incomeBe part of a rapidly growing learning organisationAbove-award remuneration, including penalties and allowancesWork vehicle and meals provided during shiftsOpportunities for career advancementOngoing training, development, and supportAccess to Employee Assistance Program counselling servicesQLeave portable long service leave contributionsEssential RequirementsCurrent Australian Driver's Licence (must be Open or P2)Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent (or actively working towards it)Availability for shift work (24-hour model), including weekdays, weekends, and sleepovers as scheduledApproved Licensed Care Service (LSC) check through the department, or ability to obtainoneCurrent Paid Blue Cardor willingness to obtain oneCurrent First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain themFlexibility to meet the organisation's needsAbility to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet specific timeframes and targetsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation, organization, and reportingProficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office SuiteProvide two recent skilled referencesDesirable AttributesUnderstanding of trauma-informed practicesPrevious Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trainingCompletion of Hope & Healing modulesExperience working directly with children and families in a support roleCurrent Licensed Care Service (LCS) check through the DepartmentFlexible, adaptable, and eager to learnHow to ApplyTo apply for this role, please click the "Apply" button and follow the instructions to be redirected to our website.
