About The Role We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience for our Brisbane office. This dynamic full-time role is pivotal in driving sales and fostering strong client relationships by leveraging in-depth technical knowledge of our products/services. You will act as a specialist, providing solutions and support to industrial, business, professional, and other establishments. Salary range: $75,000 to 85,000 per annum Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on a wide range of aluminium products, including extrusions, sheets, plates, profiles, and specialty alloys, tailored to meet individual client requirements. Interpret architectural drawings and construction documents, working closely with specifications and BDMs to ensure product suitability. Offer technical guidance on aluminium systems, glazing options, hardware compatibility, and installation methods. Support fabricators, installers, and builders by providing solutions and troubleshooting assistance during the design and installation phases. Create competitive quotes, negotiating pricing, and managing delivery timelines to meet customer expectations. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, including post-sale support and assistance. Prepare and present weekly progress reports to management. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Assess customer needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., AS/NZS). Conduct client follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise. Establish and build strong relationships, partnerships, and collaborations between business customers. Work towards achieving annual sales targets. Prepare and present regular project supply updates and reports to management. Manage internal and external resources as required. Contribute towards continuous improvement in company processes and procedures. Ability to problem solve and take ownership of all supply project’s and develop new business with existing and new installers and fabricators. About You You will have: Technical understanding of aluminium systems and materials. Degree qualified or equivalent years of relevant experience in technical sales Must be organised, have good documentation and communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships with customers, teams, and suppliers. Enjoy collaborating with teams and sharing knowledge. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working autonomously and have exceptional time management skills. Strong problem-solving ability and being able to work under pressure. Knowledge of relative Australian Standards and knowledge of design and specification would be an advantage The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and must have contactable work references.
