About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist, utilizing evidence-based practice, provides advanced person-centered nursing care within the renal specialty, collaborating with individuals and multidisciplinary teams. The role includes clinical leadership, support, supervision of less experienced clinicians, and promoting quality care and practice development.
Selection Criteria
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with post-registration qualifications in Renal Nursing and at least three years' experience in the specialty.
* Competency in delivering complex nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to exercise autonomy in clinical decision-making and lead specialty practice development.
* Effective communication skills, including IT proficiency, and professional interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and commitment to quality improvement.
* Leadership in supervising, delegating, and coordinating care, with a willingness to embrace change.
* Participation in ongoing professional development and mentorship within the specialty.
