Learning Support Assistant Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to classroom teachers and other staff members in addressing the diverse learning needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide academic support to students with special needs, including those with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.
* Assist teachers in designing and implementing instructional strategies that maximise student achievement and success.
* Monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and facilitate targeted interventions that enhance students' learning and progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience supporting students in a classroom environment, particularly those with special educational needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Creative and energetic approach to teaching and learning, with a commitment to inclusive practices.
