Mechanic
We're currently seeking a highly experienced individual to lead a team and provide ongoing support for our fleet maintenance.

Role Responsibilities
* Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing and assembling the fleet while ensuring safety, quality and Busways standards are followed at all times.
* Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
* Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.
* Attending breakdowns and carrying out any field‐related mechanical repairs.
* Effectively and efficiently communicating any safety or maintenance issues.
* Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements while performing work duties.
* Maintaining clean workshop practices.
* Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required.
* Performing ad‐hoc tasks and other duties as directed.
Qualifications
* Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
* Certificate III in Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or above; for Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with 4-5 years post‐apprenticeship experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
* Experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles (training will be provided).
* Ensure adherence and understanding of WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
* Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
* Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement.
* Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role.
* Be willing to undergo a pre‐employment medical check, and work with children check.
* Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
* Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State.
Additional Qualifications (Highly Regarded but Not Necessary)
* Medium Rigid (MR) or above Australian drivers licence.
* Heavy vehicle diesel mechanic experience (training and development will be provided).
