It's fun to work at a company where people truly believe in what they are doing!Job Description:Job SummaryMonitors are responsible for recording proceedings and producing an annotation or log of those proceedings to aid in the process of accurate transcription. Proceedings may take place on site in courtrooms or at client premises, or may be recorded from an Epiq office. Monitors must be able to maintain clear communication with both clients and colleagues via various channels. They also must work collaboratively with other Court Reporting teams to facilitate the successful delivery of service for our clients.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProduce high quality audio recordings of hearingsProduce high quality and accurate annotations of hearingsObtain accurate spellings of names, spellings, places, terminology, etc. to enable an accurate transcript to be producedLiaise with Epiq's clients in a professional mannerUtilize various recording technologies such as Liberty, FTR, and VIQMaintain accurate records of hearing sitting times and any applicable travel timesUpload and convert audio as and when requiredTravel and work outside of office locations and in regional locations to record proceedings as and when requiredPartake in periodic performance reviews with Monitoring SupervisorPartake in annual security and compliance trainingAssist with administration as and when requiredOther duties as directed - eg: real-time equipment setups, collecting audio/documents from client premisesEnsure communications are clear, concise, and in line with business requirementsFoster and promote a safe and healthy work environment, maintaining safe work practices at all times, and to work within and comply with Company safety policies and proceduresAbility to work outside standard business hours if requiredQualifications & CharacteristicsCollaborative team memberStrong communicatorAttention to detailCustomer focusedHigh school graduateSix months to one year basic office administrationIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!It is Epiq’s policy to comply with all applicable equal employment opportunity laws by making all employment decisions without unlawful regard or consideration of any individual’s race, religion, ethnicity, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expressions, transgender status, sexual and other reproductive health decisions, marital status, age, national origin, genetic information, ancestry, citizenship, physical or mental disability, veteran or family status or any other basis protected by applicable national, federal, state, provincial or local law.
