Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards.
Develop and maintain internal financial controls, accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all transactions.
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Prepare financial reports, forecasts and variance analyses for management review.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions.
Support operational decision-making with timely and accurate financial data and analysis.
Cost Control & Manufacturing Accounting
Oversee cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation.
Partner with operations to improve cost efficiencies, productivity and inventory management.
Analyze production costs, material usage and labour efficiency to identify opportunities for improvement.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial and accounting regulations, including IFRS and potentially US GAAP.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accuracy and accountability within the finance function.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain and commercial teams to support strategic initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Minimum 710 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance with at least 35 years in a managerial or controller role.
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g. Xero, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication abilities.
Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience
CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
Exposure to or working knowledge of US GAAP and consolidation reporting.
Experience coordinating or leading external audits.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and attention to detail.
Experience driving cost improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and financial process optimisation.
