About the project
We have been nominated as the design and construction contractor for GCLR3, a significant extension of the existing light rail network. Our role includes eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the construction process on site. This involves coordinating and directing the activities of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Coordinating and directing the construction process, including overseeing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
2. Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
3. Enforcing safety regulations and building codes, and conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
4. Managing conflicts between parties involved in the project.
5. Maintaining accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures.
6. Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
7. Identifying and addressing any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.
8. Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits.
9. Managing resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
1. Experience in delivering major infrastructure projects.
2. Supervisory experience working with large-tier contractors.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
6. Able to work and integrate into a team.
