We’re seeking an experienced Insurance Team Leader who has successfully managed staff and brings deep knowledge of insurance claims within superannuation. About the Role As the Claims Team Leader, you will oversee a team responsible for assessing and managing a portfolio of TPD & Income Protection. You’ll provide coaching, guidance and performance support to ensure quality decision‑making, strong compliance and exceptional service to members and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a team of Claims Assessors Oversee end‑to‑end management of complex claims Ensure decisions align with legislation, fund policies and service standards Conduct quality reviews and support continuous improvement Manage escalations and provide technical guidance Build strong relationships with insurers, administrators and internal stakeholders Monitor workloads, performance and team capability Contribute to reporting, risk management and audit requirements About You You will bring: Previous experience managing staff in a claims, insurance or superannuation environment (essential) Strong understanding of superannuation insurance (TPD, IP, Death) Proven ability to coach, mentor and uplift team capability Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and decision‑making skills A member‑first mindset with a commitment to quality and fairness Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
