ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Stock Champion at Dahlsens, you will have an important role in enhancing the stock management process within your branch. Your role is essential in maximising the return on inventory investments, ensuring the availability of products, and maintaining optimal stock levels. You will oversee stock management activities, conduct cyclical price checks, and provide ongoing training for team members. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving stock-related issues, ensuring that all inventory processes are streamlined and efficient. You will play a crucial part in maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability in stock records, contributing significantly to the overall operational success of the branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

* Maintaining adequate stock levels within the warehouse
* Maintaining the inventory management process
* Routinely conduct cycle counts/stock counts
* Investigate and solve problem/issue with orders
* Maintain excellent standards of recording and filing all reports and stock adjustments
* Ensure that stock receipting is carried out accuracy
* Identifying potential improvements
* Upkeep and general maintenance of the warehouse

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

* Highly organised with a high attention to detail
* Great organisational skills and ability to multitask
* Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands & timelines
* Be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects within reason
* Comfortable working on a variety of tasks at any one time
* Ability to work on your own and in a team thrive in a team environment
* Someone who is organised and a whiz at all things to do in the office
* Has some product experience with timber and building materials
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* To be successful in this role, some experience with large warehousing would be an advantage.
