Australian Supply Research Vessel (ASRV) Project Electrical Engineer
Join Serco as an Australian Supply Research Vessel (ASRV) Project Electrical Engineer, where you'll ensure shore-based operations and maintenance support are provided to the RSV Nuyina crew and Australian Antarctic Division as the customer.
Your role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, process development, and occasional travel to support Serco Defence locations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Work with the Technical Superintendent to efficiently and effectively implement the installation, refurbishment and commissioning activities associated with the ASRV vessel.
* Implement and apply Serco Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing SOPs.
* Optimise maintenance strategies, plans, and schedules.
* Identify and manage critical spares and inventory levels.
* Support electrical procurement and conduct compliance audits.
* Schedule, monitor, and achieve electrical engineering tasks.
* Liaise with vessel Chief Engineer and ETO to develop, implement, maintain, and review the schedules and subsequent labour resourcing to achieve the required project outcomes.
* Provide expert electrical engineering advice and timely reports.
* Analyse data for system performance improvements.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of marine experience and/or an Electrical Technical Officer STCW Regulation III/6 that holds an Electrical Trade Qualification.
* Current Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card.
* Proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Systems Engineering.
* Physically resilient, capable of working in confined spaces and at heights.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management.
* Knowledge of Class, SOLAS, and AMSA requirements.
* Membership in Engineers Institute of Australia or equivalent.
* Understanding of AS3000 Electrical Wiring Standards.
* Eligibility for AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1 Clearance.
