Your next career opportunity As Research Centre Manager at the Australian Centre, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping critical examinations of Australian society, culture, and history. You'll oversee daily operations, manage a substantial budget, and drive strategic initiatives, including the strategic re view of the Centre. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership and Management: Oversee daily operations, oversee strategic review, and provide advice to senior leadership. Financial and Resource Management: Manage the Centre's budget, estimated at $1,000,000, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial compliance. Stakeholder Engagement and Business Development: Establish and nurture partnerships, seek out commercial opportunities, and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Research Support and Compliance: Oversee administrative functions, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage matters related to grants, contracts, and intellectual property. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced manager with a strong understanding of research trends in Indigeneity and settler colonialism, capable of leading teams, managing complex projects, and fostering collaborative relationships in a university setting. You may also: Possess a relevant tertiary degree or equivalent qualifications and experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation. Have demonstrated experience in effective resource and financial management of research-related activities. Excel at high-level stakeholder management, interacting effectively with diverse groups including academics, professional staff, and external partners. Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams through change and adapt to shifting priorities.
