We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our First Nations Pathway Program, a unique opportunity to embark on a fulfilling career in the Australian Federal Police (AFP).
This program provides a comprehensive 12-month integrated employment and development journey, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a variety of roles within the AFP.
Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to work in different areas, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to meaningful programs and policies impacting the lives of Australians.

About the Role
The First Nations Pathway Program is designed to provide a pathway for First Nations people into policing careers, offering a range of challenging and rewarding roles. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to:
* Gain a nationally recognized Certificate IV in Government Investigations
* Undertake targeted professional development opportunities
* Complete work area rotations, exposing you to different areas of the AFP
* Access First Nations Pathway Program specific support, including buddies and other organizational networks
Please note that this program is not a direct gateway to becoming a police officer, but it provides an excellent starting point to prepare you for this career path.
Requirements
To be eligible for the First Nations Pathway Program, you must:
* Be at least 18 years old by December 2025
* Be an Australian citizen
* Provide confirmation of First Nations heritage documentation
* Meet the AFP Character Standards
* Achieve a Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or be able to obtain one
