With over 550 employees, we offer safe and cost-effective services from our branches across Western Australia, including bulk haulage, storage, ship loading, and stockpile management.Due to growth at our Northwest Branch, we are seeking a HSEQ Adviser to assist with the implementation of the HSEQ plan across the branch.We are looking for a dynamic individual that has worked within a similar role for a minimum of 5 years and wants to develop their career further with a business that is growing from strength to strength.Supported by the HSEQ Superintendent, you will be responsible for implementing the company and client-specific safety initiatives within the branch and will drive compliance with the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, and procedures.The successful applicant will be required to:Demonstrate a sound understanding of legislative requirements (i.e., WHS Act / Regulations and WHS Mines Regulations)Provide practical HSE advice to operational personnelConduct and review site risk assessments and identified hazardsEnsure site compliance with the WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation StandardsProvide ongoing statistical and end-of-month data reportingManage compliance aspects of both transport and non-transport site contractorsEffectively review and close out data recorded in MGM Incident Management SystemCarry out induction and training functions with new employeesSupport the team with investigations into incidentsProvide support to branch team members to ensure compliance with management systems that are accredited to ISO 9001 and modeled on AS/NZS 4801 & ISO 14001To be successful for this position you will need to demonstrate:Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)Experience using MS Office Suite and other software packagesExceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholdersAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout all levels of the businessStrong leadership skills that result in achievement of goals and KPIsKnowledge and understanding of WHS Legislative FrameworkA positive attitude and outlook within the workplaceFormal qualifications in WHS and Training will prove to be highly advantageous.If you are interested in the role, then click ‘apply’ now and submit your resume accompanied with a covering letter outlining why you would be the best fit for our team.Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.As an inclusive employer, MGM is committed to improving workplace diversity, inclusion, and equity.
