About the opportunity
The Elizabeth Street development is the first of its kind in Australia and is based on five key elements:
* Permanent – offering self-contained, high-quality housing
* Safe – 24-hour staffing and controlled secure access to the building and apartments
* Affordable – rents set at a maximum of 30% of income
* Supportive – onsite supports to help stabilise and sustain housing
* Diverse - a social mix of tenants ensuring a thriving community (131 studio apartments)
The position will primarily be responsible for the smooth operation of the Front of House area and undertaking administrative tasks as directed by the Management team. The role will work collaboratively with Case Managers, after hours and tenancy management teams to support the well-being of 65 formerly homeless tenants, and act as agents on behalf of the landlord after business hours and on weekends.
This role is permanent, part-time, based at ESCG. The shifts are Monday to Friday, 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM.
What you'll be doing
* Engaging with tenants in an informal, strength-based, client-focused way
* Monitoring well-being of tenants and communicating issues to support/tenancy staff
* Facilitating referrals to external services as required
* In consultation with day staff and/or on-call, providing welfare checks for tenants
* Assisting tenants, staff and visiting professionals in accessing communal and program spaces
* Providing phone concierge services
* Responding to and reporting building maintenance issues
* Maintaining transport and grocery cards and other essential goods as needed
* Managing entry/exit of tenants, visitors, contractors and visitors, including access
* Monitoring CCTV and responding to incidents per procedures and policies
* Maintaining and updating records in Front of House systems (e.g., Logs, Incident Reporting, Registers)
What we're looking for (key selection criteria)
* Qualifications or progress towards qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services or related discipline (preferred)
* Ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience working with people with complex needs
* Experience in Front of House/Reception duties
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* IT literacy and ability to use client management systems
* Proven ability to complete tasks efficiently with problem-solving skills

Salary: $39.81 - $42.69 per hour + Superannuation + NFP Salary Packaging (Tax Savings) + Additional Wellbeing Leave
