Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Contract Administrator/Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects and facilities, ensuring documentation, approvals, and claims are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage commercial and contractual aspects of projects and facilities
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, approvals, and claims
* Coordinate tender requests and interpret drawings and specifications
* Contribute to competitive and accurate pricing submissions
* Maintain internal cost books and historical rate libraries
* Monitor budgets, variations, and progress claims
* Evaluate forecasts and cost-to-complete reviews
* Identify opportunities for savings and coordinate timely procurement with site and trade teams
* Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, building codes, and safety standards
Requirements:
Skillset:
* 3-7 years' experience in commercial construction with a proven track record administering subcontract agreements from award through to close-out
* Estimating capability with ability to interpret drawings and specifications, perform take-offs, and develop accurate construction budgets
* Procurement and compliance knowledge including tendering, subcontract procurement, compliance documentation, financial control, and management of variations, procurement schedules, and progress claims
* Strong communication and organisation skills with ability to coordinate multiple priorities and maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Contract and regulatory knowledge with familiarity with Australian Standard contracts, variations, and building codes/regulations
* Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Buildxact, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction and estimating software
* Relevant qualifications including degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
