About the role
We are seeking an experienced AHS Builder to assist with coordinating Mine Controller operations using MineStar at Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex in the Bowen Basin.
Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a large-scale open cut coal operation located 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah, with mining operations commencing in mid-2023. Thiess was awarded a 5-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill and blast, autonomous load and haul, water management, rehabilitation, and ongoing mine infrastructure development.

Working a 7/7 Day/Night rotating roster and reporting to the AHS Supervisor, your duties will include:
* Create, maintain and optimise the MineStar Command mine model to support safe and efficient autonomous haulage operations
* Ensure the digital mine environment accurately reflects physical mining conditions, including work areas, haul routes, dumps and exclusion zones
* Support AHS Controllers and Supervisors through real-time system configuration and optimisation to execute the mine plan
* Develop and manage dump strategies, load plans, stations and park-ups to maximise productivity and system performance
* Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve utilisation, cycle efficiency and operational flow
* Assist in real-time system adjustments in response to operational changes and emerging constraints
* Maintain alignment between autonomous and conventional operations to ensure safe interaction within the AOZ
* Collaborate with Controllers, Supervisors, Technical Services and key stakeholders to achieve safety, production and efficiency targets
About you
* Experience in open cut mining operations, with exposure to haulage or fleet operations
* Experience in AHS, fleet control, dispatch or mine planning systems (e.g. MineStar Command) highly regarded
* Strong interest in technology, automation and system-based mining operations
* Demonstrated ability to learn and work within complex technology-driven systems
* High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in system configuration and data management
* Strong computer literacy and confidence working across multiple systems and platforms
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work closely with Controllers, Supervisors and field teams.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced control room environment
* Commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
* Standard 11 (Surface Coal Mining Induction) and current Coal Board Medical
* Valid C Class Driver's Licence
