Paralegal – Property (Temporary Assignment)
Location: Onsite, Western Australia
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm or 9:00am–5:30pm
We are seeking an experienced Property Paralegal to join a well-established legal practice on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone local who can hit the ground running and provide essential support during a busy period, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position.
About the Role:
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting property and conveyancing matters from instruction through to settlement. You’ll work closely with a team of lawyers in a supportive and collaborative environment, assisting with both administrative and legal tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and progressing property files from instruction to settlement
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, including contracts, transfer documents, settlement statements and correspondence
- Assisting with conveyancing tasks and liaising with settlement agents and external stakeholders
- Conducting property searches, title checks and due diligence
- Managing critical dates and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Opening, maintaining and closing files in LEAP
- Drafting routine correspondence and supporting lawyers on property-related matters
- Coordinating settlements and preparing settlement packs
- Providing general administrative support, including billing, diary management and file organisation
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally within property or conveyancing
- Strong document drafting skills
- A solid understanding of property transactions and settlement processes
- Excellent communication skills and robust attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines
Desirable Skills
- Experience using LEAP
- Exposure to commercial property matters
- Billing experience
