The role

As a Test Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring software quality by developing and executing test plans, scripts, and scenarios across various testing stages. You will be making sure new and updated system functionality works smoothly before it reaches users. You'll plan and run tests, develop test scripts, coordinate testing activities and help spot and fix defects early. You work closely with teams across the business to ensure changes are well understood, risks are reduced and systems are ready for release.

Day-to-day, you'll juggle competing priorities, keep on top of multiple systems, and manage testing across different environments. You'll analyse requirements, run end-to-end and integration tests, prepare clear reports, escalate issues where needed, and look for ways to improve tools, processes and overall software quality.

Navigating the complexities of multiple applications, balancing competing priorities, and managing testing schedules in a fast-paced enterprise environment will be key challenges. Your expertise in testing tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps, coupled with strong stakeholder management, will help streamline workflows and enhance the development lifecycle.

What you will bring to the role

* Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations. Identifying system defects, troubleshooting technical issues, and refining testing strategies requires analytical thinking and adaptability. A proactive approach to problem-solving ensures smooth software functionality and system stability.
* Maintains meticulous attention to detail amidst high-volume workloads, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables. Writing test scripts, reviewing business requirements, and validating system functionality requires precision. A keen eye for detail will be crucial in minimizing defects and ensuring seamless integration of software updates.
* Strong analytical mindset to assess complex systems and identify areas for improvement. Understanding system behaviour and testing outcomes requires a structured approach. Applying analytical skills ensures thorough test coverage and supports software reliability.
* Effective collaboration with stakeholders to align testing processes with business objectives. Engaging with teams across the organization to support test planning and execution helps streamline workflows and improves overall system effectiveness.
* Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining efficiency in a structured testing environment. Coordinating testing schedules and balancing multiple tasks requires strong organizational skills. Managing workload effectively ensures timely and accurate test completion.

Required knowledge and experience

* Demonstrated experience in a Test Analyst role conducting (manual, functional testing and preferably automated testing)
* Experience in creating and updating test cases, test scripts, user manual and procedure documents.
* Experience and understanding of Testing tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps
* Good stakeholder management and experience in working within a large enterprise environment
* Sound understanding of test methodologies, as well as understanding of Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
