Elecnor Australia's Major Energy Infrastructure Project
We are working on a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will enable customers to connect with more renewable energy, allowing for an additional 4950MW of generation capacity. It will also save NSW customers $180 million annually and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Job Overview
You will operate within a diverse and multidisciplinary engineering team, coordinating the delivery of substation works on this major energy infrastructure project. You will work closely with the construction team to develop a construction methodology and provide construction input into the design process.
Your primary responsibilities include:
* Providing electrical design solutions and documentation to support Elecnor Australia's projects within the power generation and distribution sector, adhering to Australian standards.
* Value engineering and optimization to achieve efficiencies in cost and program.
* Developing electrical documentation such as specifications, schematics, investigations, assessments, test procedures, and engineering reports.
* Liaising with external designers to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of design.
* Reviewing client specifications to ensure design quality assurance criteria is met.
* Ensuring all activities are undertaken in a safe manner and compliant with our safety requirements, as well as site and project specific requirements.
You will also be responsible for:
* Self-managing time and activities.
* Working effectively within a team as well as autonomously.
* Project management of multi-disciplined teams.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proficiency in Australian standards.
* Experience with Microsoft Office 365 + Adobe Pro.
* Knowledge of HV switchgear up to 330kV.
* A strong understanding of project management principles.
