Your role:
Overseeing multiple residential homes across the Loddon region you are required to provide oversight of Residential Care providing day to day support & supervision for House Coordinators and Residential staff.
Provide leadership, support and supervision to residential care staff and play a lead role in the creation of a culture that promotes healing from the range of traumatic experiences of the young people.
The skills you will use day to day:
* Completing Case Reviews
* Oversight of rosters and timesheets
* Overseeing culture and staff wellbeing
* Managing finance and budgets for residential homes
* Building rapport with external stakeholders
* Placement planning
* Implementation of safety planning
* A high level knowledge of adolescent and child development and the theories relating to Trauma and Attachment as the aftermath of abuse and neglect
* Highly developed skills in managing the challenging and confronting behaviours that arise from this; in a calm and consistent manner and modelling this to staff
* Strong understanding of therapeutic support and crisis intervention.
* The ability to provide strong leadership, direction and coaching to residential care staff.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role you must hold:
* Tertiary Qualification at diploma or degree level in social work, psychology or behavioural science or equivalent.
Or
* A relevant tertiary qualification which is recognized under the Residential Care Workforce Training Initiative, and a willingness to undertake top up training to meet the qualification requirements of the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care).
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Victorian Drivers License
