About the Role
Your role will include but not be limited to:
As the Canteen Officer, you will maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and conduct face to face sales canteen sales with detainees. This is a casual, site-based position at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre.
Cooperate and communicate effectively and in a pro-social manner with other staff members, transferees, visitors, vendors and other stakeholders.
Use the Point-of-Sales system for receipt and issue of inventory.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks; physically and electronically receive, store and distribute goods and materials.
All aspects of inventory management, including rotation of inventory based in FIFO principles.
Conduct monthly counts of inventory and raise monthly replenishment requisition's to ensure that stock levels are sufficiently maintained.
Conduct quarterly stock takes and report any variances and reasons for variances to the Accountant or Finance and Administration Manager.
To be successful
* Previous experience working in Hospitality or Retail preferred.
* Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Proven rights to work in Australia.
