School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Forbes/Parkes Local Government Area

Responsibilities
- In this role you’ll become a Road Safety Hero held in high esteem in the community, vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers and local motorists.
- You’ll grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique chance to touch the lives of countless families.
- This is a casual position which provides relief at sites in the Forbes/Parkes Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between school zone hours 8.00 to 9.30 AM and 2.30 to 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one hour shift as and when required Monday to Friday during the school term.
- You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation.

- You are reliable and prepared to show up for your community in good or bad weather.
- You display effective communication skills and are alert to potential dangers.

If this all sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. As you’ll be working with children on our roads, your willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. If you haven’t done this before, we will help you through the process. If you already have a Working with Children Check, that will speed up the process.

Recruitment timeline
1. Our talent team will review all applications and contact shortlisted candidates by week commencing 9 October 2025 for a quick 5–10 minute phone interview, followed by panel interviews.
2. If successful, you will progress to pre-employment checks.
3. Applications close 11:59 PM on Wednesday 8 October 2025.
4. Applicants who pass the interview may be considered for a permanent part-time position if a vacancy arises.
5. A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part-time positions over the next 18-month period. If you are deemed suitable at interview and a vacancy arises, you may be contacted to complete pre-employment checks.
