**Hours per week**: 38

**Remuneration**: Band 7 salary from $112,427.64 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

**Location**: Werribee based

**About the role**

As the Consents and Permits Lead within our Roads and Maintenance department, you will manage a team of three direct reports in delivering high-quality, customer-focused services related to works on roads and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with the Road Management Act and other relevant legislation.

**What your day will look like**
- Providing guidance to staff, consultants, contractors, and the community on responsibilities under relevant legislation
- Monitoring, measuring and reporting on the status of consents and approvals against service level agreements
- Managing Public Lighting requests including for new or additional fixtures or maintenance of existing Ensuring the maintenance of non-standard streetlights

**What you will bring**
- Degree or diploma qualification in civil engineering, or
- Several years' experience in a related field such as construction or project management, or
- A lesser qualification with substantial relevant customer service and staff management experience in a technical environment
- Proven ability to manage, support and lead a team in a technical environment to deliver outstanding customer service
- Demonstrated experience in managing customer service functions, including complaint resolution and conflict management
- Ability to interpret complex technical information and legislation to make informed decisions and resolve issues within a regulatory and, ideally government environment
- Proficient in relevant software systems and databases for permits, works management and reporting
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
