This is a large Federal Government department, located in the South of Canberra. This team has a focus on delivering key health strategies for the coming years.
**About the Role**
The APS5 Program Support Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex compliance activities and work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position. The position is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The APS5 Program Support Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Assistance team leadership in providing structured governance and project management.
- Providing support with the management of internal and external project reporting responsibilities and providing internal advice regarding project management, reporting and other associated functions.
- Assisting in developing a project management plan in line with the Agency's date management frameworks.
- Providing program support to the Fraud Investigations, Complex Assessment and Intelligence Teams.
- Managing day to day demands and competing project priorities and re-negotiating timeframes where necessary.
