About the Role
As a Demi Chef, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen by preparing high-quality food in a safe, hygienic, and timely manner. You'll play a key role in upholding the culinary standards of the hotel while supporting the broader vision of creating extraordinary experiences. This position aligns with our purpose of making each day better—for ourselves, our team, our guests, and our community—by living our values of empowerment, possibilities, and connection.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality dishes in a timely manner
Support the Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards
Minimise food wastage and manage resources efficiently
Assist in training junior staff and uphold team professionalism
Step in for the Chef de Partie when required
Follow hotel policies, procedures, and WH&S guidelines
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment
Strong culinary skills across multiple disciplines (e.g., cooking, baking, butchery)
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively
Commitment to hygiene, safety, and food quality standards
Leadership potential with a collaborative and supportive attitude
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for learning and professional growth
