Better Health Network (BHN) is seeking a compassionate and proactive Allied Health Assistant – Social Support Groups to support older adults to stay active, connected and living well.
This role plays a vital part in delivering engaging group-based and centre-based day respite programs that promote independence, social connection and functional wellbeing for older people, including those experiencing cognitive changes.
About The Role
Working under the guidance of the Clinical Lead, Wellness & Social Support, you will:
* Plan and deliver purposeful, engaging group activities (centre-based, outings and maintenance exercise programs)
* Support clients using a person-centred, wellness and reablement approach
* Assist with client reviews, documentation and care planning
* Promote independence, safety and meaningful participation
* Provide personal care support as required
* Coordinate transport (including driving an 11-seater vehicle)
* Prepare light meals and support daily group operations
* Build strong relationships with clients, carers and stakeholders

About You
You are caring, organised and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You bring:
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
* At least 2 years' experience working under supervision of an Allied Health Professional
* Experience in aged care or community health settings
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Confidence supporting older adults, including those who are socially isolated or from diverse backgrounds
* Good time management, flexibility and a team‐focused mindset
* Current Victorian Driver Licence and willingness to transport clients
Experience delivering maintenance or warm water exercise programs is desirable.
