We have a new opportunity for an experienced public sector lawyer with between 2 and 7 years of post‑admission experience (from Lawyer through to Senior Associate level) to join our growing Public Law practice in either Sydney or Melbourne.
The firm is part of the Whole of Australian Government Legal Services Panel across all five substantive legal areas and has long‑standing appointments to Victoria and New South Wales State Government panels.

In this role you will work on migration, merits review and administrative law matters across a range of Commonwealth Government agencies. Experience with the Department of Home Affairs on migration matters is essential. We also value expertise in freedom of information and privacy law.
About You
* Between 2 and 7 years of post‑admission experience working in or for the public sector
* Experience working in or with the Department of Home Affairs on migration matters is essential
* Strong desire to work on public sector matters and contribute to the growth of our Commonwealth government practice
* Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills, with outstanding attention to detail
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive and collaborative team
* Ability to confidently run matters and handle a busy workload with competing timelines
