The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Consultant, to provide a critical role within Transformation Development & Capability.

About The Business Unit

People, Safety, Culture and Communications (PSCC) core functions span the breadth of workplace culture and people matters, including human resource policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment, redeployment, and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; occupational health and safety management; and employment regulations.

The Senior Learning & Development Consultant sits within Learning and Capability (L&C) team, a within Transformation Development and Capability, a business unit in PSCC in the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department). The L&C team provides process, systems and services to support the department to deliver quality learning services and to effectively train and develop staff capability.

About The Role

This role focusses on creating innovative learning solutions to enable leaders to meet the challenges of leading in a custodial workplace. The Senior Learning & Development Consultant will design frontline leadership solutions including, but not limited to, workshops, webinars, video tutorials, virtual reality and other learning assets. A core aspect is the ability to curate the leadership learning experience resources, microlearning and stretch content.

Some Of Your Duties Will Include

Conduct complex learning needs analysis and skills gap analysis to inform recommendations for learning solutions to executive groups.Scope, design and evaluate frontline leadership learning programs for Corrections Victoria prisons leaders, including train the trainer processes, ensuring effective design and delivery of programs that enable and improve leadership performanceBuild and maintain positive relationships with staff, peers, senior managers and Executive within CV prisons, external stakeholders and broader Department of Justice and Community Safety.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in instructional design and learner experience design of leadership projectsDesign experience creation including learning journeys, wireframes and clickable prototypesOnline learning software experience including Articulate, Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline,Solid knowledge of enterprise Learning Management System (e.g., Cornerstone on Demand, Moodle, SuccessFactors)Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboardDesign structured learning content for LMS and SharePointExperience publishing SCORM and xAPI packages

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education or Organisational Development is highly regarded.Diploma or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) is required.Project management qualifications or equivalent experience is required.A current Victorian driver's licence.
