Agency to find a suitable candidate at the APS6 level to develop and implement comprehensive
communication plans and strategies.
The successful candidates will be required to address the
strategic communication needs of various policy and program areas.

Responsibilities
Supporting the Development of Communication Plans and
Strategies:
Work in a small team to develop and implement communication plans and
strategies.
Maintaining Relationships with Stakeholders: Maintain successful
relationships with policy and program areas, anticipating and assessing their
strategic communication needs.
Supporting the Communication Creation Process: Develop
communication material for various audiences, which may include social media
and web content, communication and stakeholder products, videos and accessible
communication materials.
Coordinating Procurement and Budget Activities: Coordinate the
procurement and management of communication contracts and liaise with external
suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
Monitoring and Measuring Initiative Performance: Monitor and report
on the implementation of strategic communication initiatives.
Work effectively as part of a team: Delivering results
and effectively manage personal workloads with minimal supervision.
Supporting Communication Research: Provide support to
the Communications Manager on the research and creative development process.
Preparing Written Submissions: Prepare minutes,
briefings and correspondence for the Minister and Executive, including
estimates, Question Time Brief's (QTB's) on policy issues, policy speech.
Ministerial Visits Coordination: Coordinate and manage the development of Ministerial Event
Briefs, including liaising with the Ministerial staff, policy and program areas
and relevant stakeholders.
Administrative Support: Contribute to administrative and
business support activities such as summarising briefs and media mentions,
records management, and developing meeting agendas and minutes.
Your Profile
Demonstrated experience in a dynamic and high-pressure
strategic communications environment, particularly within government, is highly
regarded.
AUS Citizenship and a current baseline security clearance are MANDATORY for this opportunity.
