We are seeking a skilled professional to join our finance team as a part-time Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and timely financial records across multiple entities in Xero
* Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and employee reimbursements
* Perform bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations
* Allocate income and expenses by department and channels
* Process end-to-end monthly payroll (employees & contractors)
* Manage and track leave, employee entitlements and bonuses
* Ensure compliance with superannuation, payroll tax and Workcover obligations
* Prepare and lodge STP reports
* Prepare and reconcile payroll journals and ensure accurate GL coding
* Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS for all entities
* Reconcile GST accounts and ensure compliance with ATO reporting requirements
* Maintain supporting documentation for audits or ATO queries
* Collaborate with external accountants where required
* Assist with month-end journals, accruals, and prepayment schedules
* Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation calculations
* Support Finance Director in preparing financial and performance reports including cash flow forecasts
