Overview
We seek a dynamic and results-driven Country Sales Manager to lead sales operations and business expansion in Australia and Oceania Region. This role is critical in driving market share growth within the mining sector, focusing on large OTR (Off-The-Road) tire solutions for heavy mining equipment. The ideal candidate must possess extensive mining industry networks, a hunter mentality for new business acquisition, and proven experience managing key accounts in demanding environments.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
* Identify, target, and secure new clients in the mining industry across Australia and Oceania Region.
* Develop and execute growth strategies to achieve annual sales targets and market penetration goals.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at mining corporations.
Key Account Management
* Serve as the primary contact for Tier-1 mining clients.
* Conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
* Resolve complex client issues through technical expertise and resource coordination.
* Analyze competitor activities and market trends to refine pricing, product positioning, and value propositions.
* Explore growth opportunities in adjacent sectors (quarrying, construction, ports).
* Monitor KPIs (revenue growth, profit margins, market share) and report biweekly to regional leadership.
Field Engagement
* Spend ≥60% of time traveling to mining sites for technical consultations, audits, and contract negotiations.
* Lead on-site troubleshooting for tire performance and safety challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory
* Work Authorization: Valid right to work in Australia (proof required).
* Industry Expertise: 5+ years of B2B sales experience in mining sectors; established network with mining operations, procurement heads, and fleet managers.
* Demonstrated record of achieving >20% YoY growth in complex sales environments.
* Personal Attributes: Resilient, self-motivated, and able to thrive in high-pressure settings.
* Physically fit to navigate remote mining sites and endure extended travel (up to 4 weeks/month).
* Language: Native or fluent English proficiency (written and verbal).
Preferred
* Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken/written).
* Technical knowledge of OTR tires or heavy machinery.
