Senior Software Engineer – AI (Back End Focused)
We're working with a well funded, early-stage AI team tackling ambitious problems at the cutting edge of AI. You'll join a small, high calibre team of engineers where your work will have direct impact from day one. This role is for engineers who live and breathe AI, thrive on deep technical challenges, and want real ownership in a team that moves fast, thinks big, and values collaboration and balance.
What you'll do
* Design, build, and own backend systems in Python and TypeScript that power cutting-edge AI applications.
* Collaborate closely with a small, high-performing team across frontend (React) and backend to deliver scalable, robust systems.
* Influence architecture, tech choices, and product strategy in a team that moves fast and thinks big.
* Experiment with AI models in production, helping shape the future of the product through research, iteration, and innovation.
Who you are
* Deep expertise in Python and backend engineering fundamentals.
* Experienced with APIs, databases, and building highly scalable systems.
* Strong track record of productionising AI systems and a genuine passion for AI research.
* Thrives on high-impact work, ambitious goals, and technically challenging problems.
* Independent, proactive, and collaborative.
* You enjoy defining product and technical strategy in early-stage environments.
