About the Opportunities

The School of Health - Nursing at the University of New England is currently experiencing a period of exciting change and growth, and we are seeking candidates who are committed to quality education, innovative curriculum design and impactful research in nursing education.

As part of continued program growth and our strategic vision, we are seeking outstanding academics to join our Nursing Discipline and will consider appointments at the following academic levels:

* Lecturer in Nursing (Teaching Focused) - Level B - $ 110, 966 - $131,514
* Senior Lecturer in Nursing (Teaching Focused) - Level C - $ 135, 620 - $156,172
* Associate Professor in Nursing (Teaching Focused) - Level D - $ 163, 016 - $179,451
* Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Nursing – Identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island – Level A or B - Level A: $78,092 - $105,483 - Level B: $ 110, 966 - $131,514

* The total package may include a market loading amount in addition to the base salary, increasing your total remuneration dependent on skills and experience. This will be discussed as part of the interview process.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (no conditions) and hold a higher degree (or equivalent) in an area of Nursing or health professional education. You should have experience as a registered nurse with at least five years in a clinical setting.

For appointments at Level A or B, evidence of developing or established teaching capability is expected, along with a willingness to contribute to unit delivery and ongoing development of teaching practice. For appointments at Level C or D, demonstrated strong teaching capability, along with experience in unit coordination and flexible course delivery, is required.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills are essential. You should also demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education, the ability to collaborate across disciplines, and a willingness to contribute to student support and broader university activities.

About the School

The School of Health within the Faculty of Medicine and Health delivers a comprehensive suite of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and research programs, including Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, Mental Health, Public Health (One Health), and Health Management. The Discipline of Nursing is a core pillar of the School, underpinning both undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supporting the preparation of a skilled, adaptable, and practice-ready nursing workforce. It is central to the School's teaching, research, and industry engagement.

The School is supported by a diverse academic workforce, including full-time, part-time, and casual staff, alongside a large network of clinical facilitators working across regional and state health services and private sector organisations, with nursing practice and education forming a significant component of this engagement.
