About Our Client
Our client is an ASX retailer renowned for its culture.
Job Description
* Prepare and post monthly journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments) and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting deliverables and audit preparation.
* Prepare cost centre reports, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights on financial performance.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, enhance reporting systems, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
* Partner with both sales and operations
The Successful Applicant
* Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance or similar
* Progress towards CPA or CA certification (or recently qualified)
* Open to a first time mover out of audit/bus services
* High energy and ambition to grow through the business
* Exceptional comms and ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Availability immediately or at short notice
