Job Details
We are seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to join our team at one of our key aged care residences in Bayswater. The role involves assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals, customer service, dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas, setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with food preparation for residents, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals.
* Provide excellent customer service to residents and their families.
* Dishwash and clean kitchen & dining areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
* Set tables and plating meals according to culinary standards.
* Support the chef with general kitchen duties, such as food storage and inventory management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience working in kitchens, preferably in an aged care environment.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Pride in personal appearance and hygiene.
* Previous experience in aged care is preferred but not essential.
