We are seeking a skilled and passionate culinary expert to supervise operational aspects of the kitchen and ensure food hygiene and safety procedures are followed.
* Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned kitchen section
* Ensure efficient workflow and seamless coordination with other kitchen areas
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
* Prepare and cook dishes according to our menu specifications and quality standards
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff including apprentices and commis chefs
* Assist in menu development and implementation of new food concepts
* Participate in live cooking demonstrations and interact with customers when required
* Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiency
* Monitor and control food waste stock levels and kitchen resources
* Adapt quickly to changing priorities during busy service periods
Required Qualifications:
* Completed culinary training or apprenticeship
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Proven track record of excellence in food preparation and presentation
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Passion for international cuisine and new food concepts
* Experience in live cooking and customer interaction
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Creativity and willingness to contribute to menu development
* Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
