Position: NACE 2 Coatings Inspector
Location: Henderson
Employment Duration: Approximately 4 months
Rate of Pay: Excellent pay rate and overtime penalties
Chandler Macleod is seeking a NACE 2 certified Coating Inspector for approximately 4 months with a Defence client in WA. The successful candidate will come from a Defence (ideally) or heavy industrial background, with proven experience in surface treatment remediation inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Witnessing surface treatment remediation iaw WI-ASC-270 part 2, WI-ASC-442 and WI-ASC-477
* Monitoring ambient conditions, residual chlorides and cleanliness, surface preparation (both coatings and substrate), blast profile, wet film thickness, dry film thickness
* Reviewing contractor paint reports
* Auditing contractor records
* Interpreting workpack and survey results prior to inspections
* Liaising with key stakeholders (Boat temas, QC WA and coating contractor)
* Consulting with Engineering on observed deviations from the work instructions
* Responding in detail to inspection findings / results
Requirements
* Current NACE 2 / AMPP Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 2 certification
* Confined Space
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience in surface treatment remediation inspections
* Australian citizenship (mandatory for security clearance purposes)
* Ability to obtain a national police clearance
* Pass a pre-employment medical assessment
* Perth based no FIFO considered
