HousingFirst is an award-winning, independent, not-for-profit organisation providing social and affordable community housing for people on low to moderate incomes. We have recently entered an exciting new phase and have an opportunity for a Human Resources Business partner to join our team.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer this role is responsible for supporting our People and Culture function through the administration of our human resource services, policies and programs to meet both organisational and employee needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment and Onboarding
* Oversee the end-to-end process from advertising to appointment
* Organise induction process and provide HR induction
* Administer the probationary review process
HR Administration
* Assist with the development, maintenance and execution of all People and Culture documentation e.g. Org chats, employment contracts, PDs, policies and procedures etc.
* Oversee effective HR and payroll administration through the HRIS
Performance Management
* Supporting performance management and continuous improvement
Training and Development
* Assist with the identification of training needs & source appropriate training and development courses as required.
* Assist with development and ongoing management of training calendar/ plans.
Compliance and Reporting
* Maintain up to date records of all HR related activities.
* Assist with HR reporting T/O, absenteeism etc.
* Provide advice to staff on HR responsibilities/requirements as required.
* Assist with WH&S management and reporting
The successful candidate will have:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline and/or previous experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of Australian employment legislation (preferable)
* Knowledge and experience of working with HRIS (preferably Employment Hero)
* Able to liaise and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
* Well- developed written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain complete confidentiality - professionalism
* Organised and attentive to detail
* Self-starter
