About Us: Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await. The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians. Foster your fascination and pride in our work. The Opportunity: This is a two-year fixed term opportunity to lead and drive Lean implementation across our Refinery and Coining Division. You’ll be based in East Perth, but your time will be split evenly between sites. We’re ready to move quickly and welcome someone who’s eager to hit the ground running - so you’ll be stepping into a role that’s ready for momentum. You’ll be driving Lean initiatives, leading cultural change, and fostering a mindset of continuous improvement. You’ll be backed by experienced General Managers who want you to succeed and supported by teams who are ready to be challenged and inspired. This isn’t a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. You’ll need to be confident in your approach, an effective hands on coach, a great influencer and motivator, and lead positive change to improve productivity and efficiency. If you’ve worked in complex, process driven environments where precision and performance matter, you’ll thrive here. About You: You bring energy, enthusiasm, and a drive to make things better. You’ve led programs that didn’t just tweak processes - they shifted culture. You know how to engage teams, influence change, and keep momentum going even when things get tough. You’ve got a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, backed by a Lean Management certification or Six Sigma Black Belt. With 5 years’ experience as a Lean Manager or in a similar role, you’ve built a reputation for delivering measurable results through process improvement, optimisation, and cultural transformation. You’re fluent in Lean methodologies and tools - 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and more - and know how to apply them in real world settings. You’ve got hands on experience in project and change management, and you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo when it means building smarter, more efficient workflows. Whether it’s automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or service industries, you understand the intricacies of operational environments and know how to navigate them with confidence and clarity. You’re a clear communicator, a confident facilitator, and someone who knows how to balance theory with practical execution. You don’t just talk about improvement - you make it happen.
