Research Opportunity in Space Technology Integration
The proposed project focuses on developing and testing novel methods to combine satellite radar monitoring with Global Navigation Satellite Systems positioning devices. This involves investigating optimal techniques for combining multi-satellite InSAR with a network of GNSS devices to provide robust 3D ground motion monitoring from space.
Key Project Objectives
* Develop near-real time 3D hazard monitoring systems for critical infrastructure
* Provide pre-collapse alerts, reducing the risk of catastrophic events
The successful candidate will possess:
* A master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
* Experience in research and programming skills in Matlab, Python, or similar programming languages
* At least one degree should be in geodesy/surveying, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related course
