Your Opportunity
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will:
Work closely with managers to provide support and advice on a broad and diverse range of human resource management functions.
This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources.
This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at the Ashmore Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Manager, Human Resources; provide high level advice and support to managers to undertake informal and formal performance management processes.
Manage human resource cases including employee complaints, employee discipline and performance matters, appeals, rehabilitation and injury management programs.
Develop and coordinate effective recruitment and selection strategies and processes within your area of responsibility including developing and updating role descriptions and providing effective advice and mentoring throughout all phases of recruitment including best practice selection methodologies.
Prepare written reports, briefings and correspondence relating to human resource matters for executive endorsement and/or approval.
Encourage an environment in which high quality, best practice HR services are delivered by continually seeking and recommending improvements in systems and processes whilst developing solutions to problems specific to the particular business environment.
Maintain high levels of communication to effectively liaise, negotiate, consult and problem solve with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal and external clients whilst fostering collaborative relationships.
Actively participate in strategic and operational planning processes, committees and networks, including consultation processes with TAFE Queensland, unions and staff representatives.
Interpret, analyse and monitor human resource data and reports to assist managers with workforce planning and operational matters and formulate corrective and performance improvement actions where required.

How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Demonstrated highly developed written communication skills, including experience in undertake research and investigations and preparing confidential reports and correspondence relating to a broad range of complex and sensitive human resource management issues
Proven ability to engage, collaborate and advise key stakeholders on best practice recruitment and talent acquisition strategies and initiatives whilst navigating a demanding and challenging labour hire environment.
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation with the capacity to resolve issues and manage dispute/grievance resolution and advocacy.
Proven experience collaborating in a multi faceted team whilst effectively balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and achieving successful outcomes.

Highly Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in Human Resources, business, organisational development, or related disciplines will be considered favourably.
