We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Field Service Engineering function. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction, operational performance, and profitable growth across the portfolio, with full accountability for equipment safety, compliance, and reliability.

Role Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop the Field Engineering team, ensuring wellbeing, competency, and safety of all engineers
* Own the engineering operating plan and annual budget, including labour, travel, spares, equipment maintenance, and capital
* Manage forecasting, variance analysis, and disciplined cost control to align with operational plans
* Implement and enforce safety standards and compliance for all equipment through audits, risk assessments, and preventive maintenance
* Coordinate field resources and customer requirements, managing scheduling, prioritisation, and SLA/KPI attainment
* Develop and execute strategies for budget outcomes, including pricing, scope, service mix, productivity, and vendor management
* Oversee new equipment installations, commissioning, and handover with clear acceptance criteria and customer training
* Govern reporting accuracy (CMMS/EAM, field reports, downtime analysis) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Coach and develop Field Engineers, building technical depth and succession plans across mechatronics, controls, and safety systems
* Lead executive and operational customer engagement, manage escalations, and maintain effective communication with project/design teams
* Champion Lean/TPM and continuous improvement across field engineering operations

Candidate Requirements:

* Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics, or equivalent
* Significant experience leading field service/maintenance teams in industrial machinery environments
* Proven experience in budget ownership, forecasting, and cost-to-serve management
* Strong track record improving safety, reliability, and customer outcomes across multi-site operations
* Project management and stakeholder engagement experience, including installations and upgrades
* Desirable: Postgraduate qualification (MBA), PMP/CMRP/Lean Six Sigma certifications, controls/PLC exposure, and advanced MS Office/data visualisation skills
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging across all organisational levels
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
