About the role
Unitywater is on a genuine transformation journey, and this role sits right at the centre of it. As Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will lead a multi‐disciplinary team responsible for delivering the organisation's portfolio of strategic initiatives from idea through to adoption. You will be equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves on complex delivery challenges and influencing enterprise‐level planning decisions with senior stakeholders. This is a role where governance discipline and delivery excellence go hand in hand, and where the work you do directly shapes outcomes for customers and communities across Southeast Queensland.
Responsibilities
* Build a team culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement, where team members proactively identify issues, bring forward options and recommendations, and take responsibility for improving delivery outcomes.
* Oversee portfolio‐level planning, scheduling, release management and quality assurance, intervening early on risk and ensuring predictable, high‐quality delivery across the portfolio.
* Actively maintain quality and effectiveness of delivery governance by providing clear visibility of progress, risk, dependencies, benefits and performance to senior leaders and governance forums; using insights and lessons learned to improve delivery outcomes.
* Champion Unitywater's delivery framework and methodologies across the enterprise, ensuring approaches are fit for purpose, aligned to standards, and balance risk, value and delivery confidence.
* Act as a trusted advisor in planning and investment discussions, ensuring portfolio decisions are grounded in delivery reality and connected to Unitywater's strategic ambitions.
* Identify and negotiate portfolio‐level priorities and trade‐offs with diverse stakeholders, managing dependencies and change impacts to support coordinated, value‐driven delivery.
