At InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort we are looking for a **Finance Officer **to join our team.

As Finance Officer you will be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of hotel financial information, in keeping with the IHG accounting manual for full service hotels and under the direction of the Director of Finance & Business Support and Assistant Manager of Finance and Business Support. Uphold IHG standards for internal controls and support and champion a constant drive for continued improvement in financial performance whilst maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

**Your day-to-day**
- Promote Hotel Internal controls through accurate balancing of daily transactions for revenue and payments (income audit).
- Assist with co-ordinating the fortnightly payroll process including checking and identifying anomalies.
- Provide administrative support to Management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice, operational assistance.
- Responsibility for overseeing accounts payable (including EOM accruals), including invoice payments, reconciliations, monitoring and processing items through the purchasing system.
- Daily reporting and monitoring of COS Food and Beverage and reporting to key stakeholders, involvement with EOM Beverage stocktakes.
- Assist implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by InterContinental Hotels Group Policy, generally accepted accounting practices, and as affected by local conditions
- Assist with management of other ad-hoc work flows of the finance department and enforce, document and establish adequate controls for all revenues, expenses and protection of assets
- Assist in maintaining accurate and timely financial and operating information and ensure corporate deadlines are met.
- Actively participate in group meetings and discussions relating to guest experience
- Support the management of IHG Brand Standards with vested knowledge, regular reviews and recommendations to ensure compliance
- Implementation of internal control measures related accounting procedures and computer systems as per IHG Accounting Manual & Control Self-Assessment (CSA) and conduct monthly inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with required
- Cooperate and partner with management in the implementation of workplace health, safety and wellbeing related initiatives.

**What we need from you**
- Tertiary or University Graduate Preferred
- 2 years’ experience in a hotel or finance related role.
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft Financial System and Opera Property Management System would be advantageous.
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) across all levels of the organisation
- Proven ability to adapt to varying situations
- Strong organisational skills, work within deadlines & prioritise effectively
- Ability to work autonomously, having strong problem solving skills and showing initiative
- Highly focused, with a dedicated work ethic and high attention to detail
